Let's be honest - on your way Up North, this isn't as convenient as driving through a McDonald's. It's a whole lot better, though. Spike's is off I-75 by about a mile, and can be busy during peak seasons, but it's worth it.

Spike's has a really cool neighborhood bar feeling. You used to be able to carve into the benches and tables, but that has been stopped for health reasons. They epoxied over the old stuff, though, so you can still see your old carvings if you can find them!

Spike's has great specials. They are definitely known for their fresh hand-battered onion rings.

The salads are nice and fresh - no brown, bagged lettuce here.

Their Spike Burgers are nice and juicy and you have your option of french fries. They even have a pretzel bun as an option - extra yummy!

Another favorite that I have had in the past is the Hammy Sammy served grilled on a Pretzel Bun. Spike's is a great place to relax and have a good meal on your way Up North. http://www.spikes-grayling.com/
